LA NAISSANCE DE KITARO raconte l'histoire des origines du garçon yokai iconique dans des images sombres et atmosphériques.
Go Koga plonge profondément dans le classique de Shigeru Mizuki et montre un Japon d'après-guerre où fantômes et humains coexistent dans un voisinage inquiétant. Au lieu d'aventures adaptées aux enfants, nous découvrons ici un conte adulte, parfois troublant, sur la naissance, la mort et le surnaturel. Un regard frais et inhabituellement sombre sur une figure culte.
